Fond du Lac has a rich poetry tradition and many poets reside in the immediate area. From the original Foot of the Lake Poetry Collective to the Lake Reading Series, poets have long called Fond du Lac home. In honor of these poets’ work—and their own poetic and authorly inspirations—we will host a monthly poetry book club at Lake Lit on third Thursdays from 3-5 PM. We will meet most third Thursdays of the month except for October and December.
For our February 20, 2025 poetry club, we will discuss Then The War: and Selected Poems, 2007-2020, by Carl Phillips, in honor of Black History Month. The Lake Lit Poetry Book Club will always be FREE, but we ask that you register ahead of time and source the book on your own, whether from your local library or closest independent bookseller.
